Lord, I acknowledge my tendency to resist correction. In my human nature, I often recoil from discomfort, failing to see the beauty of surrender in Your hands. Teach me, O God, that humility is not weakness, but rather a strength that acknowledges my dependence on You. Let me be willing to stand in the light of Your truth, allowing it to guide my steps, even when it requires facing hard realities about myself.

May I remember the great cloud of witnesses who have run this race before me—those who faced trials, obstacles, and rebukes, yet pressed on with unwavering faith. Let their examples inspire me to shed my burdens and sin that easily beset me, so I may run with patience the race that is set before me, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith.

As I encounter Your chastening hand, write Your words upon my heart, letting me not forget Your exhortation. Each moment of correction is a brushstroke in the masterpiece that You are creating within me. I know it is through these experiences that I am shaped into the likeness of Your Son, Jesus. Thank You for continuing to invest in my life, for giving me a hope and a future shaped by Your love.

Finally, Lord, grant me a spirit of joy amidst correction. Help me to rejoice not just in the outcome but in the process, trusting that every tear of sorrow can bring forth a harvest of righteousness. May I learn to embrace chastening and rebuke with open arms, for I want to be fully devoted to the work You are doing within me.
