A Prayer of Divine Revelation and Marvelous Works
"For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel." - John 5:20

Gracious and Glorious Father,
I come before You today with a heart full of awe and reverence, reflecting on the profound truth found in John 5:20: "For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel." I thank You for the gift of Your Word, which illuminates our understanding and guides our hearts towards the truth of Your divine relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ. It is in this relationship of love and revelation that I find hope and purpose.
Father, I am overwhelmed by the knowledge that Your love for the Son is immeasurable. How can I sufficiently comprehend the depths of this love that transcends time and space? In this love, I see the ultimate example of unity and harmony within the Godhead. As You show Him all that You do, I am reminded of Your infinite wisdom and perfect plans unfolding before us. Lord, help me to grasp, even just a fraction, of this sacred relationship. Teach me how to cultivate a similar closeness with You through prayer, through Your Word, and through a life lived in accordance with Your will.
As I meditate on the promise that You will show the Son greater works than those performed, I am filled with anticipation and wonder. Dear Lord, I request that You open my eyes—spiritual eyes—to the greater works that You are orchestrating in my life and the world around me. Help me to be receptive to the ways You move and act, even if they are beyond my understanding. May I learn to marvel at the miracles You perform, both big and small, in the ordinary moments of my day.
I ask for a heart that is eager to witness these greater works. Let me not become desensitized by the mundane or distracted by discouragement, but instead fill me with a childlike trust and wonder in Your abilities. When You perform works that are seemingly impossible, may I remember that You are more than capable of exceeding my expectations. Help me to always be ready to give You praise and glory when I see Your hand at work in my life and the lives of others.
Lord, I desire to be in a state of continual marveling at Your greatness. Open my heart to recognize how You intervene in my life and in the lives of those I love. I pray that my soul would be invigorated with wonder and praise every time I see Your acts of mercy, kindness, and power. Let every instance of Your grace be an opportunity for me to proclaim Your goodness and to share the marvels of Your works with others, drawing them closer to You.
Father, infuse my faith with the power of Your love for the Son. May I abide in that love and allow it to transform me. Let Your love dispel any doubt, fear, or uncertainty in my heart. Help me to lean into the truth that as a believer in Jesus Christ, I am called to partake in the bountiful inheritance of Your presence, grace, and influence in this world.
In moments when I struggle to see Your hand at work, remind me of Your promises. Teach me to trust in Your perfect timing and to seek You diligently in all circumstances. May I never lose sight of the fact that Your love and Your works may unfold differently than I expect, yet they are always for my good and for Your glory.
So, Lord, I surrender myself to You today. Fill me with Your Spirit, let me walk in faith, and may the greater works You show me lead me to a place of deeper understanding and greater love for You and for those around me.
In the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, I pray. Amen.
