We stand before you today, reflecting upon the moment when Sarai, Abram’s wife, made a significant decision that altered the course of their lives. Dear Heavenly Father, just as Sarai took Hagar, her maid, in her desire to fulfill Your promise through her own understanding, we too often rush into decisions. Mighty God, we beseech You to intervene in our lives as You did in the life of Hagar. When she fled from the harsh treatment of Sarai, You heard her cries and sent an angel to comfort her. Just as You saw her plight, we ask that You would also see and attend to our struggles. Bring comfort to those who feel abandoned or mistreated due to the decisions of others.
